Show Notes

Joint nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize, former Australian Senator, Quaker troublemaker, and anti-nuke peace activist, Jo Vallentine joins us for a very special conversation. As Midnight Oil fans will be aware after the recent music documentary, "Midnight Oil 1984", Peter Garrett missed out but Jo was elected a senator of the People for Nuclear Disarmament Party in 1984. She later served as an Independent and then as Greens Senator and a founding member of the Greens WA party. Conservative newspaper The West Australian named Jo as one of the 100 most influential people in West Australian history. Together we discuss Isaiah 2 and what it means to beat swords into ploughshares today.
